A building that was a church and is set to be torn down soon had murals painted on its interior court. My favorite of the murals is this tiger.
Don't worry about the church, the church members have already set up in another rented building. They had been renting this building. The land will be used for houses for about 10 millionaire families who bought the property. I am not a fan of that, but who asked me?
Above is the church that will be demolished to make room for a group of millionaires who bought the historic property and will build homes there. Perhaps I exaggerate, but they must be wealthy to buy the large property in town and near the ocean.

So sad that the church will leave. Millionaires do not obviously have a mind for history and community.
That Tiger one has kind of a "Life of Pi" vibe to it to me for some reason. Maybe it reminds me of the cover art of one of the many covers that bestseller has had over the years.
Oh Terra I know how that is. They come in and totally change the landscape and culture of a town. Most aren't even native Californians.
I can't read it either but it doesn't look like it is an obscene word.
I'm glad the church is relocating and it will be a better fit for them and their parishioners.

Gentrification on the rise. The art is beautiful. The last mural says Create, nothing offensive rather inspiring.

I wouldn't be a fan of the millionaires buying it, but they never ask us! :)
Those are interesting murals. Quite a bit of time and talent for something that will get torn down.
I do like the same one that you do and I can't read it either. Sad to hear that the church had to move.

Shame the church will go in building the new houses for the rich.
The word is CREATE. I hope the church community can create a new and joyful place of worship and love together.
Those are fabulous murals. That's very sad that a church is being torn down to build houses for wealthy people.
Just some how doesn't seem right does it? there should be middle class houses built starter homes for young families.

What a great artist! Perhaps he/she could do something similar in the new church.
It seems a pity that an historic church can be demolished to make way for housing. In England there are many such properties standing idle or repurposed as shops or whatever. Diminished congregations and huge maintenance costs make it inevitable I suppose, but sad all the same.

I had to read and reread your last paragraph a couple of times. For some reason I was reading 'millionaires' as 'missionaries'. :) I was trying to figure out how missionaries could afford the expensive property. Sometimes I have to laugh at the way I interpret the written word...and song lyrics...everything really! LOL
Beautiful murals! The word is create :)
I suspect that these murals will be vastly better than any mega homes that will be built on the property. Obviously, the artwork took a bit of time and is nicer than a lot of just plain graffiti. As magiceye said, I also believe the word is Create.

The rich care more about how they will increase their wealth.. The Earth has been destroyed because the economic system that exists is not Humane. The only God for them is Money
