Door of Mystery

I have been noticing this mysterious door near our home opening onto open air above a cliff.
Do you see the door in the tan wooden wall, above the stone wall?
What happened? What is behind the door? Could people open the door and fall?
Is there a princess behind the door, a captive and waiting for her love to rescue her? Possibly Rapunzel of the fairy tale with her long golden tresses. Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair.
Or an imprisoned ghost.
Calling Daphne du Maurier, here is a plot starter.
Some novelist could write a book based on this strange door to nowhere. Nowhere but air.

My birthday celebrations

My wonderful husband and sons are treating me like royalty this week, in honor of my birthday. It is one of those big birthdays ending with a zero.
Also, friends treated me to a birthday lunch and gifts from the heart and my sister sent me a special gift from Wisconsin.

And more fun to come in the next few days. Soon I will show you what my sister sent me.

Lion, red boat and owl

Does this lion photo make you yawn? I did add it to the post at night and felt kind of sleepy at the time.
A pretty red boat and another sleepy time image of a favorite bird, the owl. I found these photos on Pixabay and it says they are free to use, so here they are. I hope you enjoy them.

Herbs for tea, writing articles and Cherries Jubilee

Here is a photo I took of herbs I grew to make tea with, and a tea set on our patio.
I think it is peppermint on the left, chocolate mint in the center and lemon verbena on the right. I didn't have any ideas of what to post so looked through my photos and found this one.
I've been busy with writing these past few days and sent three article queries to parenting magazines. Now I wait to see if they want the articles.
I hope your Easter celebrations were enjoyed. At Easter at our house we even had Cherries Jubilee for dessert, where the fun touch is you add a tiny bit of brandy or rum, and light it with a match so pretty blue flames appear. I had never had that before and I loved the flames. Quite dramatic.

Have a Blessed Easter

Amaryllis and daffodils on our table today.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." John 3:16

I like to think of a love that big. He loves us. He loves you.
