I have had my terragarden blog since 2007 and that is a lot of posts. 873 is what Blogger tells me. What in the world is new to post about? Here are some photos of the ocean taken near my home.
The above photo shows the beginnings of sunset. There is a new annoyingly huge home built right on the point which is much taller than nearby homes and seems out of place to me. Can you see it?
Above is a happy moment with my husband Will on vacation in Palm Springs, California in 2004. Time just zips right along, doesn't it. We had Thai food at Thai Smile restaurant. I have a favorite Thai restaurant near my house. I enjoy silver noodles, Pad Thai and all their curries there and their delicious coconut soup.
Spectacular clouds over the ocean in photos I took a couple days ago. Can you see the small blue dot in the second photo? Is that perhaps the moon rising? The dot appears in 3 photos I took, in a different location in each photo so I don't think it is my iPhone camera. Possibly a UFO, well, possibly not. I am going with the moon rising unless any of you have a better idea.

Great picture of you and your husband!
Pretty pics and good memories. I don't have any idea about the blue dot though.
Terra,
Lovely photos
The blue dot is the camera. I read it is a lens flare, something about angle of sun. It is a common problem.
Lovely photos. That's a mystery for sure on the blue dot. Love the picture of you and your husband.
That's a lovely picture of a sunset spoiled only slightly by the McMansion right in the middle of it. A nice picture from the past with you and your husband. Good memories.
The blue dot is a curiosity for sure.
That is a lot of blogging! Well done!
I love the photos of your coast and skies, and the one of you and your husband is especially sweet and precious, as I am sure you treasure it. The blue dot is probably a reflection of the sun in your camera lens. I sometimes get that in my photos and that's the only way I can figure it out. Someone else may have another explanation, but it does happen in my photos occasionally as well, usually when it is sunny. The house that is too big for the rest of the coastline may be a bit ostentatious. At least there aren't any big tall condo buildings or hotels. You live in a beautiful area! Thank you for sharing it with us. Happy in between Thanksgiving and Christmas...or Advent season!! Have a blessed day.
Beautiful looking clouds. I've written over 4,000 posts on my blog!! :)
I often have to really think of what is new in my life to blog about. I think I've blogged about everthing already.. LOL
The photos are very pretty and I love the different types of clouds. Have a good week
I never have seen a little blue moonrising - so I say. It's an UFO! :)
O you an Will were a wonderful and happy couple. Nothing gets lost in the hands of our Lord. He will bring back all our missed beloved and dry all our tears...
Wonderful landscape - you live on a blessed place.
The house you show is too big - sorry!
Congratulation for may years blogging!!
Best greetings and wishes from Dori from the Bavarian Forest
I love Thai food too. I wish I could find a good Thai restaurant around here!
Oh, how Dennis and I would love to live near the ocean. Our son has found a home on the water within a short train ride to London. He want's us to buy it and move closer to them. I don't think so, but we sure would love to be near the water somewhere. We really like the Oregon coast and would move there in a second if it were possible.
I don't think anyone should have been allowed to build on that point and spoil everyones view either, but who am I?
Congratulations on hanging on to blogging for so long. I understand how frustrating, maddening, wonderful and glorious blogging can be so it takes persistence to continue.
But most of all, I sure enjoyed that photo of you and your husband. You both look so happy. Thanks for sharing it with us.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
Congratulations on your blog, that is a long time and about the time I commented my blog though I deleted a few years of posting and thinking back should have left them there.
The photos are good and yes, can see that house in the distance.
Nice photo of you and your husband; and great sea/sky views. I keep walking the same paths and taking photos of the same views too... But then that's life! We can't all keep travelling and doing exciting new things all the time... And I bet even that would soon feel repetitive, if we did! ;-)
Wonderful to be by the ocean!
I love the picture of you and your husband...and the other pictures are so beautiful!
Great pictures..and I love the one of you and your hubby. Time really does fly by...I bet that seems like yesterday.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend- xo Diana
What a wonderful time together. Palm Springs can be beautiful.
The ocean and clouds are gorgeous.
Lovely pictures. Wish I lived by the sea!
Dear Terra, to be as close to water--moving water--as you are has been a dream of mine for many decades. I grew up on a farm with a stream flowing on the right-hand acres and a creek on the left-hand. When I got home from school each day, talked to Mom about what had happened with my classmates, and done my chores, I used to go down to the creek and sit on the boulders and just be. I hope someday to write a memoir that will have a cover featuring that creek. It was essential to my growth as a human being. Peace.
Beautiful beach view. Just lovely!
You live in a beautiful place. As do I, but it's been way too long since I last saw the ocean. I've mostly lived close to water all my life, my hometown Stockholm is built on 14 islands, we had a summer cottage on an island, and where I lived in LA was also close to the ocean where we had a sail boat. Lovely photos and it's annoying when some big house gets built to ruin the views.
Beautiful pictures of the water. My husband and I love beaches. His hobby is photography, and he's always looking for shots like these.
What a lovely couple! Don't you have a planning department that's supposed to approve new builds? Or can they be bought like ours?
