Dog Bench I Saw and Ocean Photo

Bounce and I took a walk and found this bench facing the ocean, set up to honor three family dogs. The top line says "Dogs own nothing, yet are seldom dissatisfied." The bottom line says "Properly trained people are dogs' best friends."

Below is the ocean in a photo I took that day, near where the bench is.

What a lovely thought, a bench to honor your dogs. You live in such a beautiful area, one I used to visit often in my younger days. I read the part of your introduction to yourself and love the giggle part. I love to giggle too.

Simple truths...and they make you think. And what a great view. You are blessed to have that.

Love the pictures. I just got to spend a day with my daughter at the ocean. Just posted it a couple minutes ago.

Nice day for a walk. I'm not a dog person. Never have been but I can see the wisdom in that last line on the bench.

We say the grand-dog, Georgie, has us well trained.

Reminds me of the old saying: Be as good a person as your dog thinks you are.

Beautiful view!

I have seen lots of dedicated benches, but none to dogs. I like that idea. And a walk by the sea - oh yes!

That is a lovely thought on dogs who are wonderful to mankind. That also is a beautiful view and must be very calming.

What a sweet memorial to some very special "friends", and I love the ocean picture. It looks a bit rough that day. We saw some nice memorial benches like this (but for humans) up in Maine along the coast a couple of years ago. It was very moving to see what people had written on the benches in memory of loved ones who loved to visit that beach often. Very touching. Thank you for sharing this. I think that is a very nice idea.
