Funnies and asking for suggestions on bloggers to follow

Do you have any tips on bloggers to follow? I would like to follow a few more bloggers, new to blogging or long time bloggers. Please leave their "handles" in comments. It is nice to grow our blogging community.

I read that the average age of bloggers is 65 or so. I am older than that! It would be fun to meet some young bloggers too. Also more bloggers outside the USA. Anyone know a blogger in Turkey? I attended college there and remember it fondly.

Here are some funnies:

Below are my cute salt and pepper shakers I bought on a whim for our summer BBQs.

I remember a blogger being from Turkey I think, or was it Istanbul?? I can't remember her name, if I think of it, I will let you know.

Hi Terra, blogging has certainly changed from when we first started, hasn't it? Sometimes I meet new bloggers by seeing their blogs on my special blog friends' side bars. I've met a few that way. Others just visit and comment on my blog, so I'm not sure how they find me. That squirrel picture and quote made me laugh. I see them on my lawn every day, and they are not my favorite animal.

Happy month of August Terra.

Thank you for commenting on my blog! Unfortunately, many of the people who blogged when I started thirteen years ago are no longer blogging.

A few years ago, Queenie’s Needlework introduced some blogs she likes https://queeniepatch.blogspot.com/p/blogs-i-suggest.html

Spinster Stitcher frequently posts funny things - https://spinsterstitcher.blogspot.com/

Love your salt and pepper shakers.
I found some new-to-me bloggers to follow by clicking on comments on blogs that I follow. It would take me to their page and I could see what they are all about.

These were great! My three foreign bloggers--one doesn't blog anymore and two have died. Sorry. Such is life, eh?

Yep I am over 65 and have been blogging for 15 years. I do it mostly for my own pleasure but love the people I have met through blogging.

Seems the park people or the city tried to fit as much as they could on that little sign. If you check my sidebar for Pelin Pembisi, she is a blogger in Turkey who usually posts on Fridays. She always shares lots of photos.

I'm older than that too! No real suggestions, but look at blogs you already like, see who comments -- you might find shared interests that way. Then click on their name in the comments and it will probably bring up their profile. It works on most, not all blogs.

Fun shakers. Many list blogs they follow on their sidebars if you care to check.

Thanks for the chuckles with those memes, Terra. Two of my favorite blogs to follow are Closed Doors, Open Windows by Pamela Steiner and Your Friend from Florida by Terri D'Orsaneo. Are you already acquainted with them? Have a blessed day!

I must tell you that the people I know are not normal either. I guess no one is.

I think all the bloggers I know are either my age or older. I don't know any young ones. I don't know of any from Turkey either.

Terra, you'll find a list of some favourites of mine in the sidebar of my blog, under the heading "places to visit". (If you press "show all" at the bottom, the list will expand.) I guess most of my blog friends are around my age (70) or older too. If you want to read some blogs from various countries, and also by somewhat younger bloggers, I might suggest From My Mental Library (Germany), Mersad Donko Photography (Bosnia), Coming Up Close (New Zealand). I also have a number of British ones on my list.

Greetings Terra: Yes it does seem that the people over 55 are mostly bloggers, what I do is when I visit a blogger I usually stop on their sidebar where they have the bloggers they follow and look at some, If I do not have them I will start to follow them, I have found some very interesting bloggers, that is how I found you from someone else's blog.
I am 74 been a blogger since 2009, love the photos with words, made me giggle especially the squirrel.
Have a great week.

Hello. I've just come across your blog following a link from someone else's. I'm in the 65 year old blogging age bracket too. I started back in 2011 when blogging was just becoming the Thing To Do. I live in France, if that interests you - although my blog isn't particularly about that country.
