Plants for spring and Talking to the Shepherd

Hi friends. I can tell it is spring because I went to the locally owned garden center and bought quite a few plants and seeds. Are you doing this too? I know some of you in Australia have different seasons of course.

Two daisy type flowers for a large pot I have, where a lemon tree grew for many years. Plus a six pack of 6 sugar pea plants and a six pack of red butter lettuce plants. Also seeds for round carrots and mixed colors of radishes seeds. Today I planted the pea plants and red lettuce in my waist high planter.

Isn't this cute? Dennis says "Do you count sheep to get to sleep, grandpa?" and grandpa says "Nope, I talk to the shepherd."

Yes, talking to the Shepherd is the only way to get through the day.

It is time to be doing that... buying plants and seeds. I just repotted my inside plants but need to decide if I want to replant my trug garden outside. If so, I need to do this soon. And talking to the Shepherd is probably better than counting sheep.

It's still too cold here for planting, snow predicted again next week - but we are looking forward to it!
I love the Dennis the Menace cartoon.

I've never been much good at gardening but can see how fun it would be to get all those new plants. My daughter always goes crazy with new flowers every year.
Love the Dennis the Menace strip.

Awe...I love the meme cartoon. Our warm temps have really brought out the flower growers to the garden centers. I get weak when I visit there because I want one of everything...lol

Good Sunday morning. How exciting to get new plants. I need to get some new pots for our balcony. Love the cartoon. Yes, talking to the Shepard solves many problems. Sunday hugs.

We're having snow flurries this afternoon so no flowers as yet. I'm like Mr. Wilson. I fall asleep everynight talking to the Shepherd. There is nothing better.
Blessings,
Betsy

Since we live in a forested area, we don't plant a garden, but I do miss that. I love the array of plants you purchased. And yes, that cartoon is precious! Blessings!

I'm feeling the buzz of buying new plants and seeds for the garden.
Love the answer that wise grandpa gave to his grandson.

I love shopping for seeds though aside from sprouts seeds, I haven't bought anything yet this year. I love this time of year though. Happy Planting. Cheers, Ivy.
