Pretty Painting from Swedish Book, Large Heart Stone, Camelias

Here is a heart stone displayed at the school a block from my house, and I include Bounce to show the size of the stone, it is quite large. Plus I include Bounce because he is Bounce!

The painting above is from a Swedish children's book and it was sent to me as a postcard from blog friend Monica at Beyond the Lone Islands https://dawntreader-island2.blogspot.com/.. The painting touches my heart, it speaks of longing and of goodbyes. The boy is holding a goose and saying goodbye. The book is "The Wonderful Adventures of Nils" by Selma Lagerlof.

Above are camellia flowers from my camellia bush blooming in March It survived the neighbor's tree falling right above it.

Gorgeous flowers and I'm so glad that it survived the tree falling. Anything regarding animals and goodbyes are so sad to me. I don't think I want to know why the boy is saying goodbye!
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy

Terra: Love the heart stone and Bounce is adorable, Mikey says hello to Bounce and sends doggie kiss's.
The painting is lovely, the hug of a goose is amazing to see.
Your camellias are beautiful, soon here in Minnesota we will have green and flowers blooming, no snow this winter which is unusual.

Glad you liked the card, Terra. I'm longing to see some colours here again, so far the only spring flowers I've seen this side of winter are snowdrops...

Do you know the significance of the heart stone display? Was it done in remembrance of someone? Not that it matters, it is rather lovely, as is that beautiful camellia against the dark glossy leaves. Perfect. As for that wonderful illustration, what a delight!

How I love this natural artwork!

Wonderful blooming bush. Here everything still is grey in grey from the long wintertime.

The below-0 freezing and barely above 0 degrees for protracted times in the winder killed by beautiful Camellia and the new camellia as wellI had planted. It took both Gardenias too...Really makes me sad every time I look over there.
Bounce...you look snuggable. I love the heart stone. That surely isn't a natural formation is it?

I would love to get a better look at Bounce. The heart looks like it was carved very professionally, it is gorgeous. Made straight from the artist's own heart!

What a delightful collection of images and stories! The heart stone at the school is truly remarkable, and Bounce adds a charming touch to the scene. The painting from the Swedish children's book evokes a sense of nostalgia and longing, while the camellia flowers blooming in March are simply stunning, showcasing resilience and beauty. Thank you for sharing these heartwarming glimpses into your world!

Like that painting from the Swedish children's book. Takes me back to the books that I have read as a child.
