Hodge podge from my life

These are some favorite photos I took. The first two are of a darling pin of the post office, given to me by my pen pal and blog friend Diane Diane Wants to Write, and it is a fun gift for two pen pals. I wear it on my black jeans jacket that has embroidered red roses.  Two photos are of a white orchid I bought on impulse in February, and the others are living room lights and shadows in my home which is sometimes dreamy and magical.

Precious wood carving shadow...

Sometimes, the most lovely photos, can be found, just noticing things, in our home... In different lighting. As you have shown.

I love your hodge podge, especially the shadow play with the entwined heart sculpture, which is lovely even without the shadows!

I love wall shadows. It's like a transient art gallery. My last house had French doors and a ficus tree that made afternoon wall watching my favorite part of the day.

Lovely post because it has simple things of interest and beauty. Isn’t that what life is all about?

Hi Terra~

Thanks for stopping by, I love meeting new blogging buddies!

I love your photos, and the idea of a pen pal is so fun! I remember when I was in grade school, we used to have pen pals, and oh, what fun it was to connect with someone from far away. The pin is adorable, and a great reminder of someone who cares about you!

Your orchid is gorgeous, and the shadow play from the other photos is so pretty! I love photography as well, and look forward to seeing more of your!

Hugs,
Barb

Your orchid is lovely. I had several beauties but, once again, I killed them.

That is a cool jean jacket with the embroidered roses, Terra. And what a pretty picture of the shadows on the sweet couple.

Happy Valentine's Day.

ps.....I've been trying to e-mail you, but it didn't go through. I wanted to answer a question that you had, so could you e-mail me, and I will reply?

Love the orchid and the jacket, too. Thank you for sharing about the grief share. I'm going to look into it...I need something. Steve (hubby) bought me a book that's called "It's OK that your not OK" but I need more than that. Thank you again for visiting me. Just means so much to me after being gone for so long. <3 R

I have a wood carving very similar to the one in your picture (two people joined, forming a heart). I love the way it casts a shadow in your picture. That's cool.
