Prayers
“The firmament of the Bible is ablaze with answers to prayer.” T.L. Cuyler
“Prayer is the key of heaven; faith is the hand that turns it.” Thomas Watson
“Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?” Corrie Ten Boom
“Restraining prayer we cease to fight;
Prayer makes the Christian’s armour bright;
And Satan trembles when he sees
The weakest saint upon his knees.” William Cowper

My mother is a great prayer warrior! She suffered a stroke 8 years ago so while she cannot speak clearly - but God hears her prayers from the heart just fine!
Corrie ten Boom is one of my spiritual heroines!
steering wheel or spare tire...I like that.
Some very uplifting words you have shared...thanks dear friend
Definitely enjoy some inspiration in these dark and cold days of winter. The phrase I keep in mind is "We are nearer to spring than we were in September."
Prayer changes lives....I am so thankful i can go before the Lord with anything and everything . Your photo is wonderful...love the colors.

Gary and I attended a meeting of prayer leaders a couple of weeks ago. Impressed again of how essential prayer is to the life of a Chrisitan; SO aware of how many roadblocks to it the enemy of our souls throws in our way...
How good of God to teach us to pray when we so often think it is very complicated. Sometimes it takes a whole life time to really learn how much we need to pray. Time is the great thief when we are young.
Oh that Corrie quote is a zinger!
Whoa! I love this one: “Is prayer your steering wheel or your spare tire?” Wow!
