Overlooked Potatoes

Can you see what is in the bowl?
I had to laugh at myself when I found these growing, since I overlooked some potato starts, and left them all neglected in a spare room.
They just HAD to grow and they did.
I think they are kind of cute and surreal and artistic and maybe I will plant them in the garden.
These little potatoes have a strong will to live, as you can see.

And nothing you do can beat that Nature eagerness and will.

It happened with me in the past. Not with potatoes but other things in the garden.

Soemone is teaching us a lesson showing who is - really - in charge.

Yes, you should give them a go. They deserve it.

I've never seen a potato start before! I would definitely plant them since they look like they are raring to go!
Happy potato harvesting :-)

You know what's funny, I had this in my pantry! Unfortunately, it made it to the compost pile, not the soil!

A good life lesson. We, too, can grow even when neglected and lonely. They are artistic in that bowl.

Say - if you plant these potatoes now, does that mean you'll have dinner by Thanksgiving? Fun! You must live in a colder section of California.

Congrats on your new book!! Best to you with it!!

I love it! You can see what happened when I planted my sprouting potatoes from last winter. The potato starting growing from the bowl on my counter and reached the cabinets before I planted it. No dirt...no water...no nothing. :) It was so nice to have you visit my blog. Hope to see you often. ~

I definately think you should plant them-they want to live!

My garden is growing very slowly this year-guess it is too hot.
