This is a busy season, duh!
That is why I savor quiet moments interspersed among the gift buying, wrapping, mailing, decorating and other bustling about.
Things I savor include:
A good book, like ones by Jan Karon.
Tea or coffee. Constant Comment tea has a clove Christmasy scent.
Keep a roll of quarters in your car so your kids can put quarters in the Salvation Army kettles.
Enjoy eating a candy cane.
Enjoy the moment like this guinea pig looks like it is doing.

Ahh savoring all the sights, sounds and true meaning of Christmas is what it is all about. Your little guy is really cute.

You are soo right we should enjoy the moments instead of rushing through, I love the idea to keep quarter for the kettles!

Staying calm is a real gift at this time. Happy Holidays, Terra.

Instead of a list of things to do, you have given us a list of things that make the season bright. Thank you for this.
I too love the idea of keeping a roll of quarters handy for special kettles. Very nice idea.
I will slow down and try to enjoy the holiday more.
I'm having a cup of coffee right now. sandie
I love Jan Karon, too! Have a very Merry Christmas
Sweet picture and post. Yes, enjoy those moments while you can.
Adorable quiet moment, I think I need that. Finishing up outfits for the Christmas Program this weekend.

Wishing you a lovely Advent season
We should all take time out of this hustle and bustle time to reflect. Why don't we?! Ok, today I clean house and stay away from Christmas trees! LOL
Your blog is beautiful! I found you at Debby's place, Heavenly Humor, as you commented on her post...
My middle son emptied his OWN pocket in the red kettle this year. It was a proud moment.
I just love to soak in every ounce of Christmas I can.
I crammed in all my decorating, shoppin', candy makin', card mailin' and wrappin' last week so I could really enjoy the season.
God bless ya and have a most beautiful day sweetie!
Enjoy your blessings my friend :o)
An Amen to these from me. I am trying to savor the season too.
You should link this to a little Christmas meme on Fridays at Blue Skies.

Theses are nice times--when all is quiet and you can hear yourself think!
Thanks for stopping by Dreaming--come by again soon!

Very good suggestions. The Constant Comment tea sounds wonderful.
Love your sweet little guinea pig. I had guinea pigs as a child...they are so cute : )
Oh I'm happy to say that I do all those tips, except one. I don't often eat a candy cane. Do caramels count? I enjoyed some holiday peppermint tea today and really enjoyed it.
I think I could get hooked on your list Terra. Oh I am already hooked on many of them ;)
