The Fog

You know I love cats and here is a favorite poem.

Fog
The fog comes
on little cat feet
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.

Good morning....thanks for stopping by my little corner of the world....it is often hard for me to comment when traveling..but I seem to have a good connection today.

We often have fog in the morning where we are now...we are right by a river in a small farming community and I think all the moisture helps creative such an ethereal atmosphere.

Good day to you,

Jo

I love, love, LOVE, that little poem! I have always enjoyed it and it's my sister's favorite. :) Your photo is great. I have always enjoyed foggy days on the Oregon coast when I'd visit in the Summer. Makes things both cozy and intriguing. :)

Good Afternoon Sweetie...
What a beautiful share today. I love this poem. Having had a cat, I know how they creep along so quietly we don't even know they are there, just waiting to pounce.

The fog does the same thing. Just creeping in. I haven't seen fog for a very long time. I don't see it much here in the desert, but the photo you shared is beautiful, especially with the ship in the distance. Gorgeous sweet friend. Just gorgeous.

Hope you are having a wonderful Friday. Many hugs and so much love, Sherry

It's amazing that the poet who wrote"...Hog Butcher for the world" could write such a delighful little metaphor of a poem about fog.
I love this one.
Glad the fog came in on it's little "cat feet" cause you were having a heat wave over there. So were we...

Dear Terra, Although I came across the Sandburg poem years ago, I have not thought about it for years. How lovely to be reconnected with it now. Utterly charming and delightful.
