Nutcracker Collection at Our House

The nutcracker collection on our fireplace mantle last year. The lion nutcracker on the left symbolizes Aslan, for me. What is your favorite Christmas decoration?

I have to say the ornaments on my tree each represents my children/grandchildren. Other than my ornaments would be my Christopher Radko ornament. I posted this photo earlier this week. I so love the nutcrackers on your mantle. Nutcrackers are popular to collect I think because there are so many to choose from including very old ones. Nutcrackers have been around a long time.

Hmm, I would have to say it's my wooden advent calendar. One year we alternated odd and even numbers with both girls and had them open the doors to discover some amazing surprises!

May just have to do that this year!

About 30 years ago HH bought a 12 inch Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus that was handmade by a co-worker. The dress is red velvet and both characters have little wire glasses on. My children and grandchildren love these items above everything that we have ever had. It is our favorite too. I don't know how we will decide who gets this heirloom in later years.

I put nutcrackers and a few snow babies on our mantel. (I don't have as many crackers as you do though)

After the Holidays, I put them away and tell them .. til next year.

Your mantle looks great! I have a small collection of vintage ornaments and guess that is a favorite.
I'm loving the book you sent. I may finish reading it this weekend or maybe I'll be crafting. Too many decisions.

My favorites are the ornaments on my tree. My mother made most of them, and they are covered in pearls and jewels and frou frou! I just love them!! Happy Holidays!!

An old red sled that my mom bought for me when we went window shopping together a couple of years ago. We had the best time. It always makes me smile when I take it out at Christmas. I also adore a little nativity scene that sits on my fireplace.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving week,

Robin~♥
P.S. I love your Nutcracker collection!

I have an old, cloth Advent calendar that starts on Dec. 1st. There are pockets to move a cloth mouse each day. I love it because I can see how close we are to Christmas. Sparkles
