Apple Blossom Clematis in my garden

A year ago I planted a small two foot high Apple Blossom clematis and it is now six feet tall and climbing up my back fence and has lightly scented white flowers. Many clematis are deciduous but this type is evergreen and keeps its leaves year round. The flowers are about one inch across. I am looking for a Jackmanii clematis with five inch purple flowers, and which does lose its leaves each year.
In July 2017 I bought a deciduous clematis called Niobe with burgundy red blooms in spring and summer. It was dormant when I bought and planted it from a mail order nursery (Wayside Gardens)  so I haven't seen the blooms yet. It has a few leaves and tendrils at the moment. Below is a photo of Niobe in bloom.
Below are two more photos of my Apple Blossom Clematis, in bloom since March 1, 2018.

I love Clematis. That white one is gorgeous. We have three. Two go over the fence, one up a sort of obelisk. One is white. But not as bonny or scented.

Hi Terra - love clematii - the way they almost always come up and bring our spring to its early life before all the other plants come out ... a wonderful time of year = enjoy your Spring and gardening - cheers Hilary

I like those apple blossom clematis. I do miss my large flower garden, lost to me when I sold my house and moved into a condo. I could get into Florida gardening more if I were here more to keep up with the watering.

That's so pretty! I have a purple one, but that soft white flower looks so delicate.

We have several types of clematis here, including one Jackmanii. One of ours has large, bright white blooms that flowers for a long time. They are such a pretty flower.

Wow! That is beautiful. Thank you for sharing. I really needed it today as we've had a string of dark, cloudy days. Your flowers brightened my day.
Blessings,
Betsy

They are beautiful! Wonder if they would do well in Texas?

Thanks for sharing, I don't seem to get on my Blog as often as I use to since I now do Facebook. The flower is lovely. With the weather we've been having, all we could do right now is stick some artificial flowers out/ Once it warms up, we'll have some color, we hope. LOL

This is beautiful, Terra. I don't seem to have luck with these. When I see something like this, I wish I did!

How lovely. Makes me wonder if my (alpine) clematis on the balcony has survived the winter. No way of telling yet!!!

Your clematis is beautiful. I had a really nice large one at our old house in Alberta, so pretty.

Wow. That clematis is beautiful. We have no signs of spring here except for a few daffodils blooming. Mine haven’t bloomed yet.
