Jingle Jingle What's That I Hear?

Yes, jingle bells are what I hear, on my front door wreath and in my heart too.
Here are some of my decorations; the big tree isn't shown cuz we have lots of ornies to add to it.
Two new stockings for Fluffy and Bounce.
I know Bounce is thinking, what is she thinking of? His new Christmas sweater.
Above are gifts from the Surviving the Holidays program at a local church. This program helps people survive the holidays when we are grieving. From handmade candles to chocolate to a book about heaven and a Christmas music CD, they had us covered with love. Oh and a pack of kleenex for our tears and an ornament to decorate with a word about our loved one. I wrote Kisses on my ornament, cuz that's what Will and I were about.
GriefShare is a national program so look online for a local program if you or a friend or family member are grieving this year. It is free and has a Christian theme. They say it does not matter how long ago your loved one died, you are welcome.
This is the new 24 inch tall tree I bought this year, with twelve birds from National Wildlife Federation.
Are you decking your halls too?

I've had my decorations up for 10 days now and I love it especially with this horrid dull miserable weather we are experiencing at the moment. I have all my presents bar two small ones. I also have the majority of the food fr over Christmas.

Indeed, I am! They are all decked out in Christmas Debra and it took two full weeks to do it! I won’t be taking it all down very soon either!
I must be the most thoughtless person in the world. How did I not know you are grieving? I’m so very sorry......

I just love that tree Terra and am now going on line to see if I can see anything about it. Is this your first Christmas alone as it is for me?

Oh Terra, what a beautiful and thoughtful gift from the Surviving the Holidays Group. Kindness abounds at this time of year and I am glad that you are a recipient of such a loving and caring present.

Your bird tree is so cool.

Your pups are precious. I never had stockings for mine. Maybe a little late. And no room with all of these grandkids!

Your church has a very special program. I would be so happy to know I was thought of, and then doubly happy with the gifts!

I'm moving along on the decorations. I can't wait to say I'm done, clean up my mess, and put my feet up!

What a wonderful gift and a good idea for anyone to put together for someone that needs the comfort during the holidays. I started reading a Christmas book by Anthony Trollope yesterday and thought of you. You are the one that introduced me to this author. Holiday hugs...and kisses, Diane

What a thoughtful gift from the church.
Had to laugh at Bounce's expression. I see a similar one when I put Callie in hers.

Bounce doesn't look to happy in that sweater. : )
Haven't done a think yet.

Fluffy and Bounce will be festively attired. I've got my monkey friends and snow family all around. What a thoughtful program. Holidays are tough and it's great there is local support. Love across the miles!

Hi Terra - those gifts from/through the Church are lovely and so thoughtful ... grieving is so personal and difficult to process - these must help a little, if not a lot. Love your decorations and Bounce - he/she looks very surprised! But they need warmth as much as we do ... take care and have a peaceful time over the seasonal days ... Hilary

Terra, what a nice program at your church thinking of those who have lost a loved one. Your bird tree is delightful. And I loved seeing your stockings hanging. You have the old red stocking with the name in glitter. That reminded me of my mom, as she put silver glitter on our names growing up also. Love those stockings, and don't see them anymore.

Merry Christmas, Terra. Peace be with you this Christmas season, and always.

I like that bird tree!
Thinking of you as you pass through this season full of such a spectrum of emotion. ♥
This one has been a very odd one for me. First of all, pretty much sidelined with a nasty cold/flu. Then surrounded by so many whose families have been impacted by a death of a loved one just in the past week. Not sure I've ever known so many in such a short time.....

Hi Terra, and Happy New Year!

Thanks for following (and I return the gesture as a new follower of yours!) And I'm so pleased to learn about the grief source you mentioned. It's so very important and I love that it isn't restricted to a new or current loss.

Love the bird tree!

Terra, just wanted to tell you that I'll be taking a blog break for awhile, but the girls will still be posting when they can, so stop by any time, and I will continue to visit your sweet blog as well. I want to still keep in touch with my special blog friends.

Happy New Year, and may it be filled with peace and so much joy.
