Hats, hats, who loves hats?

I like hats and usually wear one when I am outside, whether in the garden, on the patio or walking. See the three sparkly ones in the front? And the two pretty blue ones behind?
They keep the sun off my head and my face so they are protecting me, plus I like the look of them.
One of my friends has three of these hats too, in red, black and white. The sparkles make everyone smile.
I have more hats I may show you; three of the hats not pictured here have wide brims and tie beneath my chin so I can walk on windy beaches, cliff tops, and the local wharf without the hats flying away.
I also have other baseball caps including several of the Green Bay Packers and three with pastel flowers on the fabric.
Yesterday I saw a pretty lavender color hat with a wide brim on sale and bought it.
One extra plus of hats is they are protection from the sun. Apparently some sun screen lotions are not very healthy to use, so read the ingredients list. Some ingredients may cause cancer! Hats and long sleeves work well to protect from the sun, with sunscreen on my hands.
Do you wear hats too? For beauty and for sun protection I think they are fun.

We actually wear out hats/caps down here in southwest Louisiana. You can't be too careful with your skin (even on top of your head!).Linda@Wetcreek Blog

Like the caps with the touch of bling.
I have never been one to wear a hat. Have seen some really pretty ones and tempted to buy, but know I probably never wear it anyway.
Enjoy the weekend.

These are darling...I like the bling! And you're smart to wear them to protect yourself from the sun. We girls have taken to wearing straw hats with brims up at the lake. We have so many Irish in the family with red hair and believe me, scalps can burn! And the hats make a nice fashion statement! :)

Happy Weekend, Terra!

I love hats and love them on other people, but hate them on myself. These are very cute - Happy Friday!

Those are pretty hats you have there! I know I should make the habit of wearing one, but I just haven't. At a time in my life, a hat was a "must" when going to church or other occasions. My husband loves hats and has more than enough for both of us, with many left over!:-)

Yes, I wear a ball cap on my walks and when I work in the yard and also when my hair is not looking so good. : )
Love our colorful hats.

I usually wear hats in the summer months. No sunburn!

At the Beach I wear a large brim straw hat, but my husband is the cap man with way too many to count.

I don't wear hats, Terra, but I like your sparkly ones. Bet they gleam in the sunshine! Susan

I love hats too and need them in almost any kind of weather now, also as protection from bright light for my eyes. Sometimes I feel a bit odd because it's not really the fashion here for women except in winter, or in the height of summer when very hot and sunny. Hard to find nice hats for spring/summer that are neither sports cap nor wide-brimmed beach hat but something in between.

I have to wear a cap here in Florida. Dark sunglasses and hats are the only way I can survive the bright sunshine. I should try to prettier hats though! lol Maybe I need some sparkles! Sweet hugs, Diane

Yes I adore hats. Mostly over here they are for keeping your head warm, but I do have some summery ones too. The town where I live was famous for making straw boaters in my grandmother's day.

What a fun collection. I don't usually wear hats in the summer, but I do in the winter. I will be at a craft fair next week and I'm looking forward to a new fleecy winter hat.

Hats don't flatter me, but I have to wear them on sunny days to protect my skin. Used to just wear a visor, but I managed to sunburn the top of my head. I love the colors and sparkles of your hats!

I used to wear hats all the time--mostly sun hats. Back in the 70's (ahem) I had hats to match a lot of my dresses (Gunne Sax style). I have never worn a cap though- they don't look good on me. I need a nice brim!

Yours are DARLING!! Love the bling! xo Diana

I can never find a hat that suits me, but I wear a bush hat when I'm out with the whippets if it's wet or conversely very sunny.

I love caps, but I hate cap/hat hair. In the summer they feel suffocating. :/

I love hats but I usually don't wear them cause my hair is so short it looks like I am bald underneath. If it is really cold in winter I will wear a hat. I like the blue hat in the background with the short rim. It looks like a hat my mom had on in a picture back in the 40's. I like old fashioned type of hats.

I don't wear hats or caps, did once when I went to church as we had to, plus when I went to school, it was part of my uniform...

I just started to wear hats, since being ill I have lost most of my hair. But I really like them now! :)

I love hats, Terra! I have to be honest, though, I don't wear any...except in the winter. Hats just don't suit me. :)

I don't wear hats but I would love the idea to wear one. It's a protective piece and sometimes it can serve as a fashion piece too. In my case however, it will always serve as a protective piece. I'll never have fashion in my blood. Hahaha

Thank you for the encouraging words you are leaving in my blog Terra. Please continue to pray and support me. :)
