My mom and I celebrate long ago

Yes, lo these many years ago, when I was 18 and a senior in high school, I was awarded a full tuition scholarship to the college of my choice and my mom and I were ecstatic. Hugging and jumping for joy. I was blessed with a great mom and a great dad too, and I dearly miss them.

What a cute photo! I am still so very close to my mom, and so thankful that she's still here. We have been best friends for a very long time. And, as your photo shows, there's nothing quite like those times when something I do makes Mom happy!

GOD BLESS!

Ohhhhhh, Terra. Sweet photos and even sweeter memories.

I know what you mean. I miss my Mama and Daddy, too. We are always children in their eyes, I'm sure.

One day we will all hug again. Susan

How wonderful to love and be loved by your parents. I didn't always feel this way, so when I see other people's pictures of those moments, it strikes me as really special.

Thanks for your comment on my blog.

What a precious moment that was for you and your family. Congratulations on such an achievement. I can see that your mom was very proud and overjoyed at your having successfully been awarded full tuition. She still would be very proud of you today.

Enjoy your last week in October.

Lovely memories and photo of you and your dear Mother.
You did indeed both have much to celebrate!
Thanks for visiting me and as for the weather here in NZ - they have been having snow down then South Island which is really rare for this time of the year.
I live in the North Island where the weather is considerably warmer, in fact we have noticed people in swimming in the sea. I will wait until it gets warmer though.
Happy new week
hugs

My mother has been gone for many years, but she is still in my mind daily. I am so glad that she got to see the house we now live in because she loved it.

This is priceless, especially when we learn what you were celebrating. That is so wonderful that you earned and were rewarded the scholarship.

I love the old car and the roses too.
I'm sure that you do miss your parents very much.
