God?

In church on Sunday our minister quoted this: "When it comes down to it, many of us do not really want to be led by the Holy Spirit. Or, more fundamentally, many of us don't want to be led by anyone other than ourselves." -- Francis Chan.
C.S. Lewis wrote about this too, and how as a young man and an Oxford professor, he felt he knew all the answers and did not want to defer to God. Lewis called himself the world's most reluctant convert.
Tolkien played a role in converting Lewis to become a Christian, through many talks as friends.
Part of Lewis' conversion experience occurred when his brother was driving him on his motorcycle to the zoo, and Lewis was seated in the motorcycle's sidecar.
You never know just when God will reach you!
The Francis Chan quote is meaningful to me and I hope it speaks to you too.
