Wordless Wednesday

I admire the sculptor, an appropriate sculpture for the wharf where I walked a few days ago.

Visiting our wharf on the bay

A painting of a sea otter on our wharf and if you look closely you will see my reflection in it.
Our home is beyond those trees.
The flags are flying in a nice breeze on the restaurant patio near the end of the wharf.
When I see sailboats I think I should get a zoom lens.
Have a happy day and look for beauty all around you, friends.

Visit to wharf with friends in February

I enjoyed a sunny day on the wharf today (February 13, 2015) with temperature of 75 degrees F, and 4 friends and I had lunch at a seafood restaurant. After lunch we walked on the wharf and here is what we saw.
Sea lions floating and napping in the sun.
A restaurant with flags flying, at the end of the wharf. We did not eat at this restaurant but it is very festive.
Wei, Peggy, Terry and me after our meal. That is me in blue.

Wei, Terry, Peggy and Cynthia. We do laugh a lot. This world is a funny place sometimes and we like to celebrate that.

Photos I took on walk on wharf in California

I took a walk on our local wharf on January 12 and took some photos to share with you here.
Above are kayaks for rent and a favorite seafood restaurant.
Above is a photo of about 50 sea lions napping while floating in a sunny spot.

Oyster feast on the wharf and Seals resting and swimming

This Sunday my husband had a brilliant idea. Let's go to the wharf and have an outdoor picnic there, with the main course being fresh oysters. So we brought water, soda and french bread with us and bought a dozen blue point oysters.
The wharf sells mostly fresh caught local fish but the Blue Point oysters were from the East Coast and were delicious. The last time I ate raw oysters was a couple years ago and now I remember how delish they are. Of course, not every one likes them, I know.
