This above photo is from day four of the bouquet I bought at Whole Foods, at a great price. No, they don't know I am blogging about this. The daffodils were grown in the USA which has many kind to the earth aspects. More environmental controls, less transportation, etc.

Oh daffodils can give me smiles. This photo is from day four of them being in our home. I took them outside to the patio for their photo op.

I sometimes see the beautiful daffodil peeking up through the snow in this part of the country. I rarely bring flowers home, but you have inspired me.

That is the way I feel about the daffodils. It is the second sign of spring (crocus being first) here on the middle eastern part of the U.S. In an always too long winter, their bright color changes our moods and gives us hope for better days. One more month to go before I see their happy faces.

ReplyDeleteIt will be at least another two months before we see daffodils in the garden here in Southern Ontario. They will be in flower in the next couple of weeks in Britain though,

You enjoy I knew a gentleman who told me one year he and his yougnest son planted daffodils. His marriage fell apart and he was divorced. He said he and his son drove by their old home a few years later and there are so many more daffodils! They reproduced over and over! He said it made him and his son smile B I G ! So very pretty, Terra, and yes, they certainly bring smiles. Is it their shape and colour, and the fact that they look like mini suns ? Whatever the reason, they are symbols and signs of the upcoming spring, that's for sure.
