Strange sea creatures, Mystery house and George Washington

Who knows what these prehistoric seeming sea creatures are? I gathered them on a beach in Florida 60 years ago. I will put the answer at the end of this post.

A few more shells found on the beach on Sanibel Island on a camping trip with my family.

Above and below a mystery house near my home. Mr. B and I walked past it at sunset and I took these photos. "The heavens declare the glory of God."

Our American hero and first President, George Washington. People asked him to become king and he said no, he agreed to become President. I am praying for the USA and for all of the other countries struggling now. Right now the governor of California signed a law limiting freedom of speech and making it illegal to post comic AI generated political memes. That is a slippery slope, he is against free speech he doesn't like. Free speech is under attack worldwide and we aim to defend it.

The sea creatures are Horseshoe Crabs. Many of you already knew that. I love how they look.

  1. Gosh, I hadn't heard about California. I looked it up and he signed a law about making fake election claims with AI. I am actually on board with that. I am shocked that it is legal to outright lie in campaign ads and tv commercials (and internet commercials, I guess). I think our founding fathers expected us to have a moral code. This country sure has lost that!

  4. I knew the horseshoe crabs.
I also know what you are talking about - with the election coming up.
If Harris gets in - this is just the beginning of the end.

  5. Strange creatures indeed. I agree that the Heavens declare God's glory and how wise our first President was. I'm appalled at how many of our constitutional freedoms are under attack and that many don't seem to care. I pray for the Lord to step in and protect us all in any way He chooses.
    Blessings and hugs,

  6. I don't think I've ever seen or heard of horse shoe crabs before. I may still have some old sea shells in a box somewhere, though :)
And I think the whole world is probably anxiously following the presidential election in the US this time (as well as the previous few ones...)

  7. very interesting posting dear Terra :}

i had no idea what these intriguing sea creatures are ,they seemed like sea beetle to me ,glad you mentioned their name
mesmerizing photos from your walk !
limiting speech is unfair and against nature's laws i believe because with such freedom ideas come before that can be very progressive sometimes and creative as well

  8. I know what horseshoe crabs look like... but I've never found one on the beach.
As for the political situation here and around the world... it's scary.

  9. Hi Terra: I have a few sea creatures shells from Florida, I love them, the sunset is totally amazing, so beautiful, God is an amazing artist.
Yes this election year people need to realize that some of our freedoms may be taken away from us, lets Pray for the right person to become President.

  10. Not sure I have ever seen a horseshoe crab. Very interesting and neat that you have kept them . It is nice to get away with family and glad you all had this opportunity. Wouldn't it be nice to have George Washington in control now. Oh my....This Country needs prayers for sure....I wonder each day about our Freedoms and what is to come.

  11. Weird sea creatures for sure, George Washington has always been described as a good man, how good he was I will never know since there is no way for me to truly know

  12. for the longest time we had the shell of a horseshoe crab we found in maine when our girls were little!! It started to really smell (we kept it in the garage) so we tossed it out. We have an entire glass bowl of sea glass we've collected over the years when we would spend August on Cape Cod. I also have a mason jar of interesting small shells we have collected on our travels to the Cape, NH and Maine. We love the ocean but i do prefer living near my beloved mountains.
I could NEVER live in CA!! People think NY is liberal but we aren't nearly as ridiculous as CA although our taxes are high here. I sure hope the candidate I want wins because it's time for a woman to clean things up!
