New Life for Old Plastic Patio Table

Here are some photos of our sad old used to be white patio table which is now splotched with grey, and the special spray paint that will make it all pretty, like the chair behind it. The chair was old and white streaked with grey that couldn't be removed. So I bought this paint in Blue Hyacinth color which to me is rather purple/blue. I painted an old white chair two years ago and it still looks brand new and colorful. A blogger told me about this Krylon Fusion For Plastic spray paint. No sanding or priming. Works on metal and wood too, and it says wicker too.
Now here is the table all pretty and blue/lavender, which matched the chair.
The china bunny is adopted from Goodwill and sits in the flowers on our patio.
I hate to throw away an ugly old item of plastic furniture; imagine it in the city dump, lasting forever and a day. So now it has a new life and isn't wasted.

  4. Looks fantastic! You wouldn't believe the stuff folks throw away here. It's sickening to say the least If there's a whole in the ground, they'll fill it up with garbage. If there's an empty lot, they think it's a landfill. Really depressing. Have good week. Tammy

  15. Very pretty! My daughter painted a summer Adorondak chair that color a year ago. She also painted some flowers on it and it is beautiful. Isn't it wonderful yo recycle old to new and have something pretty to look at and use.

  20. Simply adore spray paint. You have certainly turned that old table and chair into something lovely. I spray my October Pumpkins white or gold after Fall, and tie a red bow and use them for Christmas Decoration on the porch.

  23. I wish more people would try to salvage old things. A perfect example of turning something with one foot in the trash bin into a treasure. Well done!
