This cake did say "Happy Birthday Terra" at one point. I had an upbeat birthday a few days ago, including a surprise birthday party given for me by the 12 women in my women's Bible study group. We are in an 8 week study of the book and video The Armor of God by Priscilla Shirer. Four of the women I had not met before, this is a great way to meet people. They served a feast including two quiches made with eggs from the lady's hens (now that is fresh) and organic asparagus in one, and mushrooms in the other. These ladies are darlings, ranging in age from 40 to 80, and two of them have immigrated to the USA from other countries. Quite a diverse group united in love of Jesus and people.
Above is a crystal hummingbird birthday gift given to me by another dear friend who I met in church several years ago.
When the Pharisees tried to trap Jesus they asked him "Which of the commandments is the greatest?". "Jesus answered "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:37-39
Happy Belated Birthday Terra! I'm so glad you had a great day. The quiches sound lovely and delicious. I haven't had quiche in a very long time.

What a lovely party. Happy Birthay. How nice to share it with your Bible Study ladies. I get to do that tomorrow. We are having a luncheon after our Bible Study. We are doing a study of "The Sermon on the Mount" by Susan Heck. Wonderful study.

Oh that cake looks delicious. But having such amazing friends. What a happy birthday it was. I want to wish you a Belated Happy Birthday! How fun to have met some new friends too. I know you must be grateful. The food sounded wonderful. My husband Avery loves quiche. I make one my sister-in-law (his sister) gave me when she worked for the Tea Room in our hometown. It is a Southwest quiche. It has mild green chilies chopped into it with cheese but I added black olives because we love it that way. Quiche is a good meal and we always have fresh fruit with it. I hope your day is blessed as well as this new month and new week too. Take care.

Happy Belated Birthday Terra! Love the hummingbird. I have a hummingbird mobile that lights up - given to me by my son a while back. It hangs in the tree up front.

loved from the bottom of my heart what the tenth commandment says because our holy book says the same and repeatedly ,loving our Creator is first condition because when we love him we recognize his love showering upon us numerously and we love each creation he has created and we learn to live in harmony with then .
