Here is the first sentence for "A Fatal Grace" by Louise Penny, for
Book Beginnings at Rose City Reader.
"Had C.C. de Poitiers known she was going to be murdered she might have bought her husband, Richard, a Christmas gift."
On page 56 for Friday 56 at
Fredas Voice is:
"I suggest we give each other our unsolved cases and spend a few days reading over them. See if we can find something."
This
is the second book in the series and I enjoyed the first one. The
detective is Inspector Gamache and he works in a small town in Quebec.
I love this series and have read the first 4 of them.
ReplyDeleteI did read and love this one, after I read the first one. Thanks for reminding me that I want to read more in this series. I love Gamache!
ReplyDeleteHere's mine: “I’VE GOT SAND IN ALL THE WRONG PLACES”
I shall look out for these - I am always on the lookout for a new author.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard of A Fatal Grace before. I do like the writing from the beginning and the 56. :-)
ReplyDeleteGreat review, looks like an interesting and intriguing book. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
I love this author! I'm reading The Brutal Telling by Louise Penny right now. I had missed it somehow so I am happy to find one I haven't read. On page 2, "The terrible force has destroyed everything in its way. The Old World and the New. All gone. Except...." Happy reading! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried that series but it sure sounds good!
ReplyDeleteLOL Sounds mean.
ReplyDeleteHappy Labor day weekend!
I need to check out this series. I need a new one!
ReplyDeleteThat's a strange and kind-of funny beginning. I'm wondering who is telling the story.
ReplyDeleteThis sounds like a series I'd enjoy.
