Wordless Wednesday Roses
This pretty bush is a rare old-fashioned rose I bought from a university plant sale about 20 years ago. I call her our Mary rose for the concrete statue of Mary that often stands near her.

Those are really beautiful :) I want to have them in my garden someday. Anyway, I am back to blogging. Thank you for being a faithful friend. While I am away from blogging.
Beautiful Roses, Terra. We not only grow Lilies--but we also grow Roses (Hybrid Tea and Grandiflora)... They are so beautiful this time of year.. One of these days (when I can find time, I will blog about our Roses...
YES---we do love LILIES... Our biggest problem is that the critters around here (chipmunks, squirrels, deer, etc.) won't leave them alone! The chipmunks and squirrels especially did up the bulbs thinking they are nuts/acorns.... Because of that, we have lost many of our gorgeous lilies... I think we will replenish them this Fall --and hopefully we MAY have more next year.
Your roses are so very beautiful Terra. aren't the old fashioned ones lovely they have fragrance and are so full and luscious. Have a great new week Hugs Carolyn
I found your blog via another blog and saw roses...... Lovely old fashioned roses are my favorites in the garden. I will be your new follower. Regards from Holland, Janneke
these are gorgeous. the bush reminds me of the Cherokee rose that grows wild in KY... my CB handle back in the 80's was Cherokee Rose...thanks for stopping by my post yesterday

You are the second blog that has shown lovely roses. I only get fresh cut ones from Trader Joes....have a few plants on the balcony...but no roses.
ReplyDeletePlant sales are so much fun. Our garden club has them once in a while, and the farmer's market usually has a table of things to choose from. - Margy
