More Christmas Bits and Bobs 2015

The above blanket is ever so soft, and I bought it this month to keep on the sofa and cover with for reading or tv watching.
Santa on left above is hand painted by my friend and this photo shows it more clearly than in the previous blog post photo. And I have to smile when I see Surfing Santa with his Ho Ho Ho surfboard, sent to me by my sister.

Our nutcracker collection. The one third from the left is the cowardly lion from the Wizard of Oz, but I think of him as Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia. He is a cute lion.
Do you have a Christmas collection of something?

  1. I like to collect vintage things, especially the little knee hugger pixies. I love that pretty blanket! Looks so soft and cuddly! Holiday hugs, Diane

  2. I can't hear the bells anymore Terra (Polar Express.) I just gave my nutcracker collection to my son and I do have some mercury glass ornaments from long ago. German, I believe. I do have some antique ornaments I use for a feather tree, quite a few years ago. I am keeping those for now though.

  4. I love those nutcrackers! No I don't have a collection, but I do have a Santa made by my grandfather in the early 1900s. I always post him on my blog as it gets closer to Christmas.

  5. I have some beautiful vintage Christmas lights that I haven't put up for a couple of years now. The cat broke one and I just don't want to risk more damage, they can't be replaced or rather I can't afford to replace any of the globes.

  12. Hi Terra,
Nice to see you came by, love all your nutcrackers, they are all so cute..........
Also love the Santa your friend painted for you, she really did a great job.
Your throw is cute.........we have several of those soft ones and just love them......they
    are so cozy and comfy.......

The best part of that make ahead salad I wrote about is it keeps me out of the kitchen
more on whatever holiday I prepare it, as I do not like to be in the kitchen while
everyone else is having fun..........lol I also have a great make ahead delicious
chicken dish and rice dish, then all I have to do is pop them in the oven.......if you
are interested come over to my blog and search for it in the upper left hand corner
under "Party chicken". Everyone loves it, and I only make it several times a year, so
it is special when we do have it..........

Thanks for coming by and for your sweet comments. Hope this find you doing well hon,
    Blessings for a Merry Christmsas,
    Nellie
