The Miracle of Us: Confessions of an Online Dater book review

The Miracle of Us: Confessions of an Online Dater by Laura Bennet
This writer took me into her world of seeking a Christian soul mate, and I read it quickly while at the same time not wanting her book to end.
The Miracle of Us

Who could imagine that two lonely people who have suffered heart break and who live in different countries would ever meet and connect?
A widower with young children living in Australia and a twice divorced American woman with young adult children who lives in California met on a Christian online dating site. The obstacles in their paths were overwhelming, and sadness, tears and doubts occurred amid sparks of joy.
The best part is that they each trusted God to guide them with each step they took as they grew to love each other. When would they meet in person? Would they marry? Live in Australia? Live in California? What about jobs? Selling a home? Schools for his children? It sounds daunting but trusting Jesus, they believed it just might work.
Read this book to hear about this “miracle of us” adventure toward love.

  4. My late husband and I also met online, although not on a dating site - it was a Star Trek forum! He left his home country (England) to live with me in Germany, a place where he didn't know anybody except for me, and didn't even speak the language when he first arrived. I always found his readiness to do this for me a sign of his courage and true love.

  8. Hi Terra! That sounds like a very interesting book. I have two friends who met online, one from the Phillipines and the other from the southern U.S. They have been married for several years now and have two sweet boys. They are so right for each other you could never imagine them being apart. Yet, it was a challenging time getting use to the different cultures, but their love is strong and they have blended into a wonderful family. I hope you have a lovely afternoon ahead! With Love,Delisa :)

  13. This sounds like a book I would enjoy very much. Right now I'm on a Sebastian St. Cyr readathon. I just finished one book, am in the middle of the next and brought a third home from the library. I had to know what was going to happen and I'm enjoying it a lot.

  14. That sounds like a book you'd not be able to put down until you finished it!
You know, I don't know how to tell if what I have are English sparrows. Since yesterday when I posted their photos, I've not seen them at all, so I don't think they moved in after all!
    Have a wonderful weekend!!
