Some
lyrics from one of my favorite hymns "In Christ Alone", written by Keith
Getty (Northern Ireland) and Stuart Townend (England).
I am posting this with love for Judy.
No guilt in life, no fear in death,
This is the power of Christ in me;
From life's first cry to final breath.
Jesus commands my destiny.
No power of hell, no scheme of man,
Can ever pluck me from His hand;
Till He returns or calls me home,
Here in the power of Christ I'll stand.
I love the old hymns. They tell a story of faith. Most of the newer music we have doesn't do that although I have heard a few that touch those depths of the soul. Nice post.
ReplyDeleteThank you for these encouraging words today.

ReplyDeleteTerra, one of my very favorite songs! There are a handful of wonderful new praise songs which we sing regularly in our church - along with some of the great old hymns of faith. Thank you for putting this in my mind this morning! (P.S. I'm your newest follower via GFC and Feedly) :-)
