The Beauty of Note Cards

Do you like to send snail mail cards and letters? Well, I do.
Sending real cards is falling out of fashion, but I think it is very meaningful. The recipient often displays and keeps the card on view. You purchase a card the recipient will like, or stationery, write some words from the heart, and mail it. I even buy pretty or funny stamps at the post office and add stickers to the notes. Stickers of  cats, lady bugs, butterflies, you know what I mean. My sister sent me stickers of cows which make me smile.
So when I found that my new friend in blogland makes pretty cards, I bought some from her.
Her name is Wanda at Got a Minute or Two blog Got a Minute or Two blog
Wanda paints flowers, jars, old trucks, hydrangeas, blueberries, butterflies and bouquets.

  1. Hello:
We too are saddened by the fact that people tend never to put pen to paper any more. We absolutely agree that it is so nice to receive a hand made card which has obviously been chosen with care. We are certain that anyone would be delighted to receive one of Wanda's cards which are so very attractive.

  2. Terra ~ Thanks so much. I have quite a long blog post, if any of your friends pop over to visit me. I've also show six of my cards after a little story about myself and my new Brochure I'm working on.

Thanks again for being such a special friend, and I trust everyone who received a card from you will be blessed.

  9. Those are so pretty. I fear that letter writing via snail mail is a dying art. Who wouldn't love to receive a hand written letter on a pretty note card.

  15. I truly enjoyed hand written letters. I do write a few ladies in this fashion, but I don't have the patience with it as I used to.

Your blog friend is truly creative and talented! Her paintings are lovely! Water color painting is not an easy medium to work with, but she certainly does a great job with painting those note cards. :)

  16. Terra,
I'm so glad I found someone who loves to send notes and cards in the mail still. No one takes the time to do that any more, and I just love receiving mail. Her artwork is lovely. Good for you that you are keeping the tradition alive.

  19. Oh my goodness how beautiful! Every now and then I will send notes. Such a shame that now it's like a lost art. When I was younger I would go and buy special stationary at the Hallmark store and loved writing notes to friends.
Terra, you have inspired me I think I will go out and try to buy some cool stationary! Thank You.
    Have a great weekend!
    Blessings, Joanne
P.S. After a few months of going back and forth I have decided to submit my story ( about my son winning an award) You were so sweet to suggest that I do submit it and I'm going to go for it! Thank you so much!

  26. Oh, I am a stationary nerd all the way. When I was young, I remember getting in trouble for "wasting" good stationary that I'd gotten for Christmas, so for so long I'd buy stationary and just keep it. I was afraid to "waste" it! Now I know that dropping a letter in the mail is never a waste---everyone can use that pick-me-up. :) These cards are lovely!

  30. I have to say that I am sorry that letter writing has fall by the wayside. I used to write letters as a kid.

Now, unfortunately, my brain doesn't work all that well with pen and paper. My brain is better connected to my finger tips and a key board. Guess I am out of practice.
