Sugar Plantation On St. Kitts

Ruins of an old Sugar Plantation
Originally uploaded by J. Stephen Conn

For a change of pace from dark February days, here is a photo of a tropical island, St. Kitts, in the West Indies. My husband and I lived on its sister island of Nevis for several months years ago, and enjoyed the beauty of the islands, the old stone sugar mill buildings, the tropical flowers, the beaches and more.
Have a great weekend, my blog friends.

  8. Hi dear,

I promised to let you know when I'd been doing a give-away of The Essential Guide to Getting Your Book Published. Running the give-away this week. Just leave a comment and good luck to you. Jeff loved the book. He said that even after all these years of working in publishing he learned a lot from it.

    All joys,

  17. One learns the most interesting things from other bloggers...sugar plantations. I never have known a thing about them. Now I learn that Thomas Jefferson's grandfather owned sugar plantations on St. Kitts and all sorts of things. Fun!
