Meyer Lemon Tree For Me

Meyer Lemon Tree
Originally uploaded by meganpru

Whee, Happy Birthday USA, and lucky me!
I bought a Meyer Lemon tree today, and when one of our sons comes over, he will plant it.
I already have a seven year old Meyer lemon in a half wine barrel planter, which gives a few lemons a year, and I have high hopes for this new baby, which will be planted in the ground.
Lemon trees have it all: gorgeous fruit, lovely scented flowers, pretty all year round. The fruit of the Meyer lemon is thin skinned and sweeter than the Eureka and other full size trees.
The Meyer will grow 5 to 10 feet tall at maturity and loves full sun.
Welcome to my house, noble little tree.
What is your most fun recent garden purchase?

  3. Lucky you! I love lemon trees, but they don't grow in Michigan. My brown thumb would probably do it in in any climate!

  6. I am unable for lack of space and proper light to grow veggies or fruits. I am an apartment dweller. But I love that you have your Dwarf Meyer Lemon tree.

    Happy fourth and Happy Day!

  7. No fun garden stuff here right now. It is like the dead of winter to us...but with over 100 degree heat. We just pray that it doesn't rot our bushes. We lost 3 last summer with no rain and record heat...good luck with your new lemon tree. That will be wonderful!

And hope your 4th of July was lovely.

I'm going to try your last suggestion, for sizing my Header pics. www.shrinkpictures.com Thank you so much, for all the help you have been giving me, with this pic sizing issue. Today I finally learned to do it a bit, with my own iMac photo thing. But will try the above link!!!!

When I finally figure out, all about this blog issue, what will I moan about then, though???? ,-)
