Parrot Funny Quote

Wow, Will Rogers spoke wise and funny words.
Imagine a parrot repeating to the town gossip what we say when we are angry or annoyed. That is not a pretty scenario.
But what beauty parrots have. Have you all seen the movie about the wild parrots of San Francisco? I think it is called "Parrots of Telegraph Hill." We read the book and saw the movie, and both are entertaining.
Don't forget, leave a comment here for a chance to win the suspense novel "The Last Christian."
And maybe, if you are not perfect (smile), remember that a parrot may be listening to you.

  4. When I was young, I worked for awhile at a veterinarian's office. A lady boarded her parrot there for a week whilst she was out of town. I spent the entire week trying to teach it to say, "My grandma was a sailor". So much fun!

  5. We found out the hard way about parrots mimicking everything. I have an African grey and a pionus. Both of them talk or mimic sounds. They are the smartest little guys though. Our Ally hates it when we leave so she makes like the phone is ringing. Of course we run back inside to discover that it's only her imitating the phone. I actually think she grins when we dash back inside. They're fun birds though.

  7. Thanks for your visit. And believe me small children whether there our own or grandchildren seem to be able to remember the things we would most like them to forget. LOL I had a cute parrot joke I posted one day about the reason the parrot in the pet store was so cheap. Had a funny ending. I found it again, I'm sending it to you by e-mail.

  11. That's so true...whatever comes out of your mouth can often be taken and mimicked by not only parrots but by little ears. Baby Boo is notorious for repeating things that we say. One of her favorite words right now is "gusting" which means "disgusting".
