Some funny photos. Some clever. Some cute puppies.
I adopted Bounce from a shelter. He was so cute right from day one. He is a teenager now, age 13.
Above is a photo of the tile stairs of a restaurant I like. In fact I was there with two friends who treated me to a birthday lunch recently.
Above is a photo I took before I threw these items out. Who is old enough to know what these are? I am 80 so yes I know.
I've not been a big fan of the Lennon Sisters but I saw this photo of them and the third one from the left could be my twin! At about age 10. I think the resemblance is amazing. Have a great week!
Good morning...a lot of tile work went in to making that stair case so pretty...Happy Belated Birthday wishes to you...Just the other day, my husband found some of the disc in our closet..We need to take them to be converted into digital. Happy Sunday..
ReplyDeleteI still have CDs and a player.
ReplyDeleteHappy belated birthday! Those stairs are beautiful.
ReplyDeleteAll our cats came not from a shelter, but from outside... some ferals, some just showed up. The tile on those stairs would give me a migraine... (ha!)
ReplyDeleteAnd as for those floppy disks, etc. I will be 80 in July... and yes, I know what those things are... have quite a few of them that I don't want to throw out until I find out what's on them. Recently my son gave me something that will read them.
I know what those things are!
ReplyDeleteNow you have to share a photo of yourself at 10 so we can compare,
Hi, Terra! Yes, I knew what those items were. I enjoyed your memes, too. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI remember hearing them on Lawrence Welk and they were so cute! I love that people find homes for dogs that need one, too!
ReplyDeleteYes, another old party checking in to recognize those floppies which weren't floppy, and the CD rom!
ReplyDeleteTerra your doggie bounce is adorable. and yes, I do remember the Lennon sisters, and the floppy disks and what have you!! lol I am 73 now. Loved the
ReplyDeletestaircase with the tiles, so pretty and unique. Have a good week ahead.
Blessings, Nellie
I recently saw a joke where a teenager was shown one of the floppy disks and she said, "How cool. Someone 3-D printed the "Save" icon!" Boy I feel old.
ReplyDeleteLove the corn maze meme.
Blessings and hugs,
Betsy
I'm getting rid of CDs and all sorts of dated things that will never be used again! Taking a good sized bag to the Goodwill every Tuesday! Of course, I usually go in and purchase another bag full!
ReplyDeleteDoes teenage Bounce still bounce?
ReplyDelete...and then you also know the good old records. We still have some and a record player – it's wonderful to play them :-)))
ReplyDeleteThis staircase is a real eye-catcher – I wish you many wonderful opportunities to use it.
Best wishes, Viola
Hug
Hi Terra - love the maze one ... at least there'd be corn to eat - drink ... nothing forthcoming I suspect. The stairs are fun ... so pleased you had that wonderful lunch with friends - cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteThat corn maze sign is too funny. Yep, I remember cd's and floppy discs.
ReplyDeleteThose tiles would send my head into a spin and I would probably end up in a heap at the bottom of the stairs.
ReplyDeleteWe have a few of those discs but not many left now. Thank you for sharing the memories x
I loved the Corn Maze sign. Made me laugh right out loud. (I thank you for that because I needed a laugh.). And yes I knew the other stuff as well. The Lennon Sisters, gosh - those memories. How times have changed.
ReplyDeleteCD's and floppy disks oh yeah I remember them well
ReplyDeleteOh yes I recognise floppy discs... I don't think still have any, though. I've still got old photos and audio books and music and whatnot saved on CDs, though.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun post! Can you sing like The Lennon sisters?
ReplyDeleteHi Terra: Love the photos, yes the CDs are still living in our home and being used, not the floppy discs though.
ReplyDeleteCatherine
Hi Terra, Happy Belated Birthday. I am 68 and I do recognize these items! Thanks so much for sharing. :)
ReplyDeleteI love the corn maze notice. I wonder what today's generation will throw out when they're 80?
