Our Christmas Tree

Our new Christmas tree for 2013.

We did something dramatic this year. After decades of buying a real tree each Christmas we bought a beautiful artificial tree. There are pros and cons to each type, I know. This one we bought at Sears, it is seven and a half feet tall, and the needles are a soft green with a modulated color, so it looks very like a real tree.
Yes, the angel on top of the tree is leaning, she wants to lean.
Merry Christmas to each and every one of you, my friends.

Artificial is the way to go Terra...well, it is for me anyway...I love to get it up early and take it down late.... the needles would all be falling off mine by just after the big day ... .... as a matter of fact, a friend bought a real one and they had that happen with they tried to put on the ornaments..had to toss it out and buy a faux tree a week ago...

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas Terra! Here's to a healthy and fun New Year for us all...

hugs, Vee

Dear Terra, a few years ago, my parents did exactly the same - for the first time, and without telling us, they bought an artificial tree. It looks really, really good, and if nobody had told me, I would have remained convinced it was real.
We still put on the real candles, though. If there would ever be electric lights on the tree, my sister and I would openly rebel :-)

Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones!

The new Christmas tree looks so adorable with the ornaments. I think we have same angel on the top.

Mrs Terra, thank you so much for leaving such beautiful comments. I'm sorry to not responding such a log time. Been busy with Christmas stuff. But I'm checking my email everyday and I saw your comment and made me think of you.

Merry Christmas and have a wonderful day. May God pour out His mercies on you and family.
Love,
Delvalina

Your tree is beautiful, and your angel is just leaning towards the fireplace to get warm.

When we live in the parsonage before retiring (big house) I had real trees. When we retired I bought a small cute artificial, and it lasted 6 years, and this year when I pulled it out...it died...Next year I'll invest again in a tree.

We have a leaning tree, too. Gives the place some character I think.

Some years we have real trees and some we have fake ones. This year it's a real one. You're right - there are pros and cons for each type.
A very Merry and Happy Christmas to you and your family.

Merry Christmas!

I bought my "forever tree" 10 years ago and it still looks wonderful. It is so much easier to decorate than a real tree, and as you said, no needles all over the floor.

Have a wonderful Christmas!

Hi Terra.
Your Christmas tree is beautiful. Every year I think I would like to have a "live" tree, but I fear it getting dry and starting a fire, so I always have the artificial. Anymore they look SO real, it doesn't matter. You bought a beauty!
To answer your question about the chalk fireplace ~ they will simply erase it, clean the board, and draw something else probably next week. It changes all the time. How nice that she shares her artistic talent with the public.
I wish you a happy and blessed Christmas, Terra!

Beautiful, Terra. Just perfect! And I love the leaning angel.

We got an artificial tree a few years back and it's lovely. I'll never trade it in!

A most blessed holiday to you and your family. Susan

Let the angel lean a bit if that's what she wants.
Beautiful tree. I hope your Christmas is beautiful too and that the New Year brings you and your family many blessings.

Well, on the good side, ours is still up and it is snowing hard so just turned the lights back on, lol.

We have had ours for about 5 years, and next year I'm thinking about giving a real one a try again. A noble. I got one for my classroom and it lasted a long time.

Hugs,

Kathy M.
