Cyclamen and Cilantro Glow

A friend gave me this red cyclamen at Christmas time, and I put it on our kitchen windowsill, where the sunlight illuminates it and the glow brightens the room. Yesterday I bought six cilantro plants, and put two in pots and added them to the sill. I planted the other 4 outdoors in containers.
What plants do you have in your kitchen?

That Cyclamen is so beautiful. Love the combination of the Cyclamen and the Cilantro. Just lovely.

I have a Begonia that someone gave me. Can't wait for it to bloom. I also have an unnamed succulent that I brought back from my cousins years ago. It was beautiful in her house but it struggles here. She passed away a few years back and I keep it because it reminds me of the struggle she went through with Brain Cancer and it's the only thing I have that was hers.
Kind of silly when it always looks sad, but I can't throw it out.
I use to have lots of African Violets but they are gone too. I find outdoor gardening is best for me.
But, I was thinking, the other day, that I would love to have a Peace Lily in the house again. I love them and they do well here.

Terra,
Your plants are beautiful, as is your blog. I have too many plants in my kitchen to begin naming them all ~ a table in the corner filled and a bench along the windows.
I want to thank you for your kind visits to my blog so often. I appreciate your visits and your comments.
I must make a habit of returning here. I've missed so much. Thank you, also, for the "hugs".
I look forward to visiting your other blog, too, Terra.
I hadn't thought about a word for the year, but since you brought it to my attention, the first thing that came to mind for me is "passion", so that will be my word for the year.
Have a wonderful Sunday!!

I have a blooming amarylis and a budding orchid on the windowsill. my kitty eats most of the plants we put out, but now she is too old to get on the higher places, so she just looks longingly at them! She is such a sweet cat though.
Blessings, Linda

How pretty the cyclamen is! It's a nice pop of color in your kitchen!

My sill is too small to have a plant on it, but I do have a garden window in our bedroom and I have a lavender plant in there that is doing well...I have my fingers crossed!

XO,
Jane

Your cyclamen is so pretty! The only plant I have inside right now is a poinsettia. I don't usually do very well with indoor plants, but this one is doing well so far.

Your sunny window with the plants is so pretty. I would love to have some African Violets but my cats won't leave plants alone!!!

We saw fresh picked cilantro at the roadside stand a week ago. It is delicious in salsa.

Have a good Monday!

Thank you for visiting my blog! Did you take the peacock picture? so pretty! I don't have any plants in my kitchen, but I love snapping ones outside to show on my blog, I am a flower lover! Did you know about the RCA dog, Nipper, who you have pictured? After his master died, he went to live with his master's brother, who played recordings of his dead brother's voice. The little dog would sit in front of the speaker with his head tilted like that really listening to his master's voice!

Currently a Cyclamen in a fierce Fuschia pink, and also in pink, a Christmas bowl of Hyacinths which are just coming into bloom. Gives a pretty corner to the kitchen and I can appreciate them every time I do the washing up.

Your Cyclamen and Cilantro look lovely.

Your cyclamen is lovely! I've got just one plant that we had in our house when I was growing up. Not sure of the name, but blessedly it survives in any environment and is still going strong.

Hello Terra and thank you for visiting my blog, it's lovely to visit yours!
Its such a beautiful photograph of the light and the cyclamen.
My window sill has a collection of herbs, in old terracotta pots, balenced on old saucers and a bit wobbly!
I have sweet Mint and Basil and a rather sad looking Parsley, oh and some Garlic cloves that started to sprout, which I'm now growing for their tasty leaves! Jane x

I do not have a green thumb but I also have a bit of Cilantro and a tiny African Violet I'm willing (and praying!) will grow. I also have English Ivy everywhere. I love the green and the life I see in it!

What a beautiful red plant. I have only one flower, live, in the house. It's an African violet. It's been tipped over so many times, but the sweet little things keeps right on blooming after I repot it. Seems no matter where I try to sit it, either the cat or someone runs into it. So far where it's at now seems to be a good spot. Thanks for your visit. Happy (Belated) New Year.

None...all my plants are outside plants. I know...it's sad.

Seems with the fireplace and the propane heat indoor plants just don't thrive for me.

Yours are just beautiful!!!

God bless ya and have a fantastic week sweetie!!! :o)

Cyclamen's are one of the few potted flowering plants I can keep alive. Indoor plants have to be tough to survive my neglect. These plants seem to do that amazingly well. Hmmm I need a white one...it is so time for fresh green foliage around here. Snow storm heading my way tomorrow!

Hello,
I visited your blog today - I saw you on 'Art, Books, Tea.' What beautiful flowers these are. As I was scrolling down, I noticed that your posts are simple and sweet, two things which I love. Me and my daughters started a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back to visit with you. Your blog is cheerful to me, and I am leaving here today with a smile. I hope to hear from you, and have a lovely evening. Oh, I also love Bob Dylan.

I love both cyclamen and cilantro, Terra. I moved a lot of plants in the kitchen before I left. I wonder if they are still alive. I have been gone since a month ago...Christine

Before all the building took place around here it was quite common to find cyclamen growing wild in the woods. So beautiful!

I need some herbs in my kitchen window sill. My middle daughter had an aloe vera plant. But she forgot about it! It died a sad death! I will probably buy her a new one and I will care for it!
