Christmas Ornament

Christmas Ornament in HDR

Do you have a theme for your tree?
Ours is eclectic, with lots of angels, birds, other animals, hearts, Santas on mountain bikes and on motorcycles, and shiny ornaments large and small.
Oh, and handmade flour dough ornaments my husband and I made early in our marriage. Flour, salt and water, and painted with the paint you use for painting plastic cars and planes, which makes the ornaments last forever.

Spectacular, Terra ... would love to have that ornie. I used to have 3 large trees. The children's ornies we returned to them for their trees. Now we have a small patriotic tree, several feather trees in pink & white & our main tree in pink & white ornies.

Have a beautiful week ~

That golden ornament is just gorgeous!!
I made ceramic ornaments 35 years ago and hand painted them. They're with my son now. I only have a plug-in table top tree that I haven't even bothered to put up for the past three years. Not enough room in this crowded apartment--LOL! Doesn't dampen my Christmas spirit any to have no decorations up. I just watched It's A Wonderful Life and Polar Express today. ;)

I love that you have a variety of ornaments collected over the years. I did, too, and passed them on. :):)

I like themes but sometime my hubby just like certain colors mixed together. One day I will have a tree for my very own and I will decorate it any way I want! Beautiful ornament by the way!

It's been decades since I themed my trees! Not a bad idea, though. Does it mean we have to have various boxes of different ornaments?

That's beautiful, and it would fit right on my tree. Ours is gold and white with just a touch of deep red.

I think I love eclectic, especially when it includes those ornaments that the children create. I still put them on my tree, even though my girls are older now. I recently visited a tree theme celebration in Concord. They decorated the trees to the theme of children's books. Me, I put up the same ornaments each year, and spend the day remembering all the memories associated with each ornament.

So beautiful..and when there are many they add to the delight. My nine yr old granddaughter put my tree up this year and got such joy out of decorating it up. It looks so lovely and she was thrilled.
My daughter, her mother lost a baby about fourteen years ago now on Christmas eve, he was ten days old...so at Christmas she never wants a tree, decorations or anything.
I am praying for her to be healed of that terrible hurt. He was her third baby loss.

Eclectic here too.... but, still beautiful. I love sparkly and pretty.... on a tree. Lots of my little origami ornaments too...so that folks can chose one or two and take them home to their tree.

I'm like Karen... each year when we unwrap them.... I remember who sent or gave them to us... even my little black sheep which my husband's mother sent to me... she did it to get to me (as she did with many things) ..but I happen to think he is one of my sweetest little ornaments....a fluffy little craft guy with tiny spools for legs/feet, but don't tell her.....
