Oyster feast on the wharf and Seals resting and swimming

This Sunday my husband had a brilliant idea. Let's go to the wharf and have an outdoor picnic there, with the main course being fresh oysters. So we brought water, soda and french bread with us and bought a dozen blue point oysters.
The wharf sells mostly fresh caught local fish but the Blue Point oysters were from the East Coast and were delicious. The last time I ate raw oysters was a couple years ago and now I remember how delish they are. Of course, not every one likes them, I know.

It sounds like a perfectly wonderful idea to me. I like to say that I like oysters, but if I'm honest, I really just like cocktail sauce so just about anything tastes good with it.

Hi Terra,
Wanted to say nice to meet you here in blogland and thanks for your visit. Is this Wharf in San Francisco by any chance, I have another blogger friend who lives near to that area, and she has shown pics
before of the seals. They are so cute. Good you like raw oysters, that makes for an easy meal. What a fun thing for your hubby to suggest. A picnic outside in great weather is always a good thing.
Our weather here in Florida is just
so lovely right now. Cool and breezy and beautiful blue skies,
one of my favorite times of the year here for sure.

Take care and hope you come to visit again soon,
Blessings, Nellie
and keep that grateful heart, it is a very good thing!!

What a lovely location. And a lovely outing. I like oysters cooked with bacon pieces and cheese on top..not raw, but you say they are fresh caught, so I'm sure they were very enjoyable.. Its grat getting out for a simple day of pleasure like this.

Oh! Looks like summer where you are! Our trees have turned and the brrrr is coming into the air - crisp November morning here in South Jersey.

Thanks so for your sweet and encouraging comment about all my furniture re-arranging. The Lord, He is faithful and will do it!

Looks like an enjoyable outing, it reminds me of a trip I made to San Francisco as a teenager, I remember seeing seals and lots of places selling sea-food. I've never tried oysters, but i LOVE clam chowder! :)

Enjoyed your post,
Scarlett
