Beauty seen from Mount Tamalpais

My husband took this photo last weekend while half way up Mount Tamalpais, looking toward Bolinas.

I lived around the Bay Area all of my life and I never climbed Mt. Tam.
I remember being told, as a little girl, that a princess lived up there. I was told that when she died the mountain took her shape. I could always see her lying along the ridges. I always thought it was a great story.

I can always tell CA in the summer or Fall with it's dry hills and in Spring it's all green. Lovely. I lived there 60 years before moving to Alaska.
