We can pray everywhere, and often

Are you like me, and you pray often? I love what G. K. Chesterton wrote about his prayer life.
You say grace before meals
All right.
But I say grace before the play and the opera,
And grace before the concert and pantomime,
And grace before I open a book,
And grace before sketching, painting,
Swimming, fencing, boxing, walking, playing, dancing;
And grace before I dip the pen in the ink.

I love this philosophy and subscribe to it. Soon I will post some wise words here, from an Orthodox Jewish rabbi, on this same topic.
Have a grand week, my bloggy friends.

I wholeheartedly agree with 'we can pray everywhere and often.' I talk with him throughout the day and night.

You know I made a pact with God a long time ago - that during the day when I'm awake - lol - my thoughts would be prayers. And when I read that someone needs prayers - I pray then and there - I am always praying to God. I've been mad a couple of times too - but I've worked that out too.
Glad you do too.
love, sandie

Prayer, a conversation with the Father. We should all remember that...... Just talk to HIM.. that is prayer!!!!!!

I pray all the time. When I was little I use to think I had to be on my knees to pray...so that became a habit of reverence for me for many years. I still do the "knee-mail" thing...but my my favorite way of talking to God are the conversations we have when I feel like He's sitting next to me in my room...

That's because He is!

Love to you...beautiful post!

Appreciation for something and feeling grateful is another great time to pray and say thank you. A nun once told me she prays throughout her day simply with repeating the name Jesus over and over. She says it helps keep Him in her thoughts always.

Prayer is as close to God we can be on this side of the river. Loved the pix of Grace Cathedral. Awesome Purrs and Blessings, Tankene Ice Mist
