Chicken liver is delicious the way I cook it

As long as the source is good, like the Rocky Jr. Frying Chicken liver I found in our local natural food store, this is a healthy and delicious dish.
Just dip the livers in flour with salt and pepper and cook in a pan with olive oil and turn occasionally for perhaps 10 minutes total time.
This is a wonderful dish with a salad and baked potato or whatever you like to add.
Rocky Chicken is "sustainably farmed, raised on 100 percent vegetarian diet, and given no growth stimulants or antibiotics". I don't know if this is a big or small company, but you can look for similar companies in your area.
The price of $2.99 a pound is a very reasonable way to feed folks.
Scandalous omission! I forgot to write here that I always also cook onions in a pan too, just sliced and sauteed in olive oil. How could I forget when I first posted this? I think onions and liver are perfect together.

Sounds yummy!
I remember buying chicken (okay, this totally dates me!) when you did not have to worry. My grandfather raised chickens for Holly Farms....they were on the ground, fed good grain, not in cages but contained in a massive old bar with proper ventilation.
Heck, chicken livers were a staple at our house growing up!
And I used to make pate from them....then the taste *changed*.....
As far as I know there is nothing close here that has organic. *sigh*

I love chicken liver and this looks yummy. Chicken liver was my "go-to" meal -- maybe 59 cents a pound -- when I first got out of school and wanted economical. Would like to eat it now, but I'm off it for medical reasons and I do miss it.

Dear Terra, Chicken livers - absolutely delicious. For some strange reason they are well nigh impossible to source in the UK. In Hungary they are plentiful!

My husband loves chicken livers. We always get a laugh when he orders them at a restaurant. They give him enough for a family of four. Gives you the impression that they are not ordered often!!! Yours look and sound wonderful. Have a great week.

My mother is a huge fan of liver and onions. About the only way I like liver though is in paté.

Well, it does look delicious! It reminds me of when I was a kid... my parents used to cook liver and onions often. Of course, I didn't like it as a child, so I haven't eaten since (LOL). Yours looks so delicious, I may have to give it another go. :)
Have a great day, and thanks for visiting and your sweet comment!

I have always loved Chicken Livers, and can buy them from a good source. I dust mine in Flour and Paprika, saute gently with onion. Then flame with a little Brandy, and add cream and chopped parsely. Serve with rice. Yummy. I also love to make pate, or wrap bacon around the livers and bake in the oven. My husband prefers Lambs Liver.
