Memorial Day weekend

This photo was taken by my husband, while on vacation in Connecticut, of a Revolutionary War reenactment.

On this Memorial Day weekend we pause to give thanks to all soldiers in all branches of the military who have given their lives to preserve our freedoms. I also thank all who have been wounded, and pray for safety for all military personnel who are serving today. Thank you!

Yes, we remember and we are so thankful for those who are wounded, those who died and those who will die, for our freedom.

War is a hard thing.

Thank you for posting.

Awesome post! I am loving seeing all the blogs who are serving up some Memorial Day posts! Thank you.

Gosh I wish I knew you had been in Connecticut. I am lacking that state in the postcard exchange. I am going to post about it!

What a beautiful photo and inspiring post. I am grateful for my husband's military service to our country--even though he was not in battle. I really appreciate your husband's way of memorializing those who fought so hard for our freedom.

Happy Memorial Day to you and your family also! So many people have given so much for us. We are so lucky to live in such a great country.

We just went to a WWII reenactment, my youngest son was in heaven. I think the Civil War reenactment would be much more interesting. Hope you all had fun!
