Squirrel and Sunflower in Our Garden

I have written before about my black squirrel who
visits our garden and plants raw peanuts. That post was on 2/8/08 in case you want to read it. Well, now a grey squirrel visits too, and climbed up to a precarious

perch on our 10 foot tall sunflower. If you look carefully you can see the twine in lower right corner that is tieing the sunflower to our roof. After the sunflower fell over, I tied it and it recovered.
My husband took this photo from inside the house, and it seems very cheerful to me. I hope it gives you a smile.

I love your black squirrel. Last year there was a white one hanging around...haven't seen it this year.

Oh, it has! Cute photo! One would imagine squirrels scurrying along sturdy branches only!:-)

Love it. I capture brown squirrels playing in my yard all the time. They seem to love to show off--and drive my black lab crazy. She can't catch them and they taunt her.

Hi Terra..I must apologize...I noticed you were a Follower so I returned the favor, but I did not notice your comment on my blog until just now. I am not terribly organized when it comes to checking previous posts for comments and I do apologize.

You have a lovely blog and I look forward to returning.
Blessings,

Terra..

Thank you for stopping by and posting on my blog.. yes Miss Maggie started the blog about a year ago and has recently retired and was gracious enough to allow me to continue this venture.

'Barney' is our squirrel squatter here and actually throws things at us. To funy indeed. You've got a real nice sunflower growing there.. I adore them also.

Thanks again for dropping in and please come back when you can.

Hugs
~Olivia

I used to feed a little black squirrel and it got so cheeky it would hang out precariously from my railing near the kitchen window.... leaning his little hands on the window...peeking in to check if I was around to throw out more nuts! My hubby would get a laugh out of seeing Mooch there... begging...and shout to me... you-know-who is looking for you... through the window!
